Developing a badminton infrastructure
Since 2012, BWF / BEC has organised the Shuttle Time Trainers / Tutors course in Europe. The aim is to educate trainers who can share the knowledge to the tutors and teachers who can then deliver teacher courses in their own country. The main goal of the BWF Shuttle Time programme is that more children would try badminton in the schools and get attracted by the sport.
The host, Mishel Pili from Badminton Federation of Albania clarifies why they wanted to host such a course. "Badminton is a new sport in Albania" "We are collaborating with universities, since a lot of people don't know much about Badminton"
In two and a half days, the participants will be delivering many sessions and will get a lot of experience along the way, working with children and teachers, and bringing the fascination of badminton to the students. Hopefully all participants will go back to their home countries with many new ideas, experiences, and motivation, willing to bring badminton as the most exciting sport into the schools.
