Record-breaking participation at BWF Para Badminton World Championships

This week is an exciting one for Para badminton as yesterday marked the commencement of the BWF Para Badminton World Championships. This 14th edition boasts a record-breaking 325 players competing in 22 categories. Notably, five countries - Azerbaijan, Barbados, Iran, Iraq, and the Maldives - make their debut.

The BWF Para Badminton World Championships run from February 20 to 25 and take place in Pattaya, Thailand. European participants like Lucas Mazur (SL4), Daniel Bethell (SL3), and Helle Sofie Sagøy (SL4) are first seeded in their groups, adding excitement to the competition.
