The morning session of the European U17 Championships 2023 quarterfinals unfolded successfully in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Notable matches included the impressive victories of Saffron Morris (Wales) and Katharina Nilges (Germany) in the women's singles quarterfinals. Despite being unseeded, these young players secured three wins each against top 10 opponents en route to the semifinals. Their next challenge is a face-off against each other, aiming for a spot in the final on Saturday.

Maintaining his dominance, the number 1 seed in the men's singles category, Tiago Berenguer (Portugal), demonstrated resilience. After a slight scare, he managed a great comeback, defeating Frenchman Lenny Bonniere, 22-20, 10-21, 21-18.

In all three doubles disciplines, the top seeds have successfully advanced to the semifinals. Noteworthy pairs include Luca-Stefan Pandele and Denisa-Maria Muscalu representing Romania in mixed doubles, Raiia Almalalha and Anastasiia Alymova of Ukraine in women's doubles, and Mikolaj Morawski and Krzysztof Podkowinsk from Poland in the men's doubles.
