In an exclusive interview with Mia Blichfeldt, the world number 13 in women’s singles, we get to know the Dane even better.

The relationship between players and fans can easily be very distant, especially when the players do not take time to include the fans in their lives. This is what Mia Blichfeldt tries to avoid. Recently she has started a YouTube channel, where she posts Q&A items and practice videos to include followers in her personal life.

- Some years ago I started a blog to share more with my followers and fans, but it was very difficult to get people closer to who I am as a person and to my badminton life through a blog, so I have been working with other ideas that would be better instead – and that was a YouTube channel, Blichfeldt stated.

Easy for me "to be me" in a video

It can be harder to include fans and followers through pictures than videos, which is also a main reason why the Dane started the YouTube channel.

- It is easy for me to talk and share my journey with people through videos because I feel like I include people more that way and it is easy for me “to be me” in a video, Blichfeldt said.

- So hopefully this YouTube channel will be a success for both me and the ones who are following me, she ended.
