The Irish siblings, Chloe and Sam Magee, are the top seeds in the Mixed Doubles category at the Irish Open, and the two local badminton heroes feel the pressure.

All eyes are on Chloe and Sam Magee, when they enter the court at Irish Open. The spectators expect the Irish players to do well, and the Magees feel the pressure.

- At Irish Open there is always pressure. It is the one time you get to play in front of your family and friends, but I think it gets easier as the rounds go on. You get more feeling of the court and of playing, Sam Magee says.

Never won on home soil
In the quarter-final the top seeds won in straight games, 21-15 21-13, against Carl Christian Mork and Solvår Flåten Jørgensen from Norway, and Sam Magee hopes that he and Chloe can claim the title, they still do not have.

- I would be nice to win this tournament. We never won it, but hopefully this year we can put a few good matches together and get the title, Sam Magee says.

In the semi-final the Irish will play English Michael Roe/Jessica Hopton for a spot in the final.
