The Chinese legend, Lin Dan, is not thinking about retiring soon. Instead, the Men’s Singles player aims to participate in the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, in 2020.

The SaarLorLux Open got underway on Tuesday. Thereby, a star player made his way to Saarbrucken, Germany, to participate in the BWF 100 Tour tournament: Lin Dan. 

The Chinese Men’s Singles player revealed to Badminton Europe that he is aiming to qualify for the Olympic Games:

- I mainly came to Saarbrucken, because the qualification for the Olympics will get underway next year. So, I want to play as many tournaments as possible and gain points for the world rank position. 

In October, Lin Dan turned 35 years old. But he is not thinking about retiring soon. 

- My main goal is to play at the Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. I want to maintain my performance and play as good as I can to reach this goal.
