Indonesian Super Stars were too strong for Mathias Christiansen and Christinna Pedersen.

The Danish mixed doubles played the defending Olympic Champions and two times World Champions Liliyana Natsir and Tontowi Ahmad in the quarter-finals at the Denmark Open. The Indonesians, who are seeded three in the tournament had the upper hand in the beginning of the first game, but due to a good defence the Danes took the lead at the interval leading 11-10.

The first game was thrilling, but despite of great support from the home crowd, the Danes could not pull it off, and the Indonesians won the first game 26-24.

Service situation was the key
The Indonesians were just better in the second game winning 21-10. That means that there are no more Danish doubles left in the tournament.

- The first game was fun to play. Unlucky for us we did not win that. In the second game it was easy to see, that we struggled, and the Indonesians did a really good job and made it so difficult for us to find the right solutions, Christinna Pedersen says.

- We struggled in the service situation. We really had problems with our returns, and I think that the service situation was the key. If we had come out on top in the first game it would have been a completely different match, I think, Mathias Christiansen says.
