The BEC Women In Badminton (WIB) Working Group is delighted to be able to announce that it is holding its first coaching conference on the 14th of July 2013 in Vejen, Denmark during the 2013 BEC Summer School. Young women in elite sport often face challenges unique to their gender that can prevent them fulfilling their potential. The aim of the conference is to consider the challenges women face within badminton and encourage discussion on potential solutions.
The conference is an invaluable opportunity for coaches who are interested in developing their abilities in coaching female athletes. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from two high profile coaches and understand their different approaches. There will also be a networking opportunity to interact with the speakers and coaches at a lunch directly after the conclusion of the conference.
