Swedish Junior 2018 was played in the weekend, and it was with a flying Scottish player, Christopher Grimley, who won two titles at the tournament.

Christopher Grimley was one of the biggest favourites, when Swedish Junior took place in the weekend. The Scottish badminton player made the job and won two titles.

In men’s double won Christopher Grimley Swedish Junior with his brother Matthew Grimley. They defeated the pair from Netherland, Gijs Dujis/Wessel van der Aar with 21-12/21-13 in the semi-final, and later on they defeated Joan Monroy/Carlos Piris from Spain with 21-5/21-19.

In men’s singles was Christopher Grimley seeded as number five, but the Scottish player took the title with a win in the final against Lukas Resch from Germany. Grimley won the game with 21-19/19-21/21-17.


Grimley reach the third place at the rankings
With the victory in Swedish Junior 2018 has Christopher Grimley reached the third place at the rankings, but Lukas Resch are the number one after the tournament in Sweden. Colin Hammerberg from Sweden is number two at the men’s singles rankings.

In men’s doubles are Joan Monroy/Carlos Piris number one, but Christopher Grimley/Matthew Grimley are few points behind the Spanish pair.
