Who has qualified for the 2023 Sudirman Cup?

Here are the 16 teams that will be competing for the title of the world’s best mixed team.

We now know who will be competing in the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 in Suzhou, China. From 14 to 21 May 2023, 16 teams will be competing to be crowned this year’s best mixed team in the world.

The Continental mixed team championships have recently concluded in the different continents and taking into account the mixed team ranking, here are the teams who have qualified for the 18th edition of the Sudirman Cup.

As both the host and Sudirman Cup reigning champion, China already had their spot secured for the competition. Five Asian teams  — Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, and Singapore — have all qualified by ranking.

The remaining qualifiers come from the results of the different continental championships. Denmark, France, England, and Germany will be the European teams competing in Suzhou. From Asia, it will be Korea, Thailand, and India. Pan America’s Canada, Oceania’s Australia, and Africa’s Egypt are the remaining three teams to play in Suzhou.

Host & title holder: China

By ranking: Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Singapore

Europe: Denmark, France, England, Germany
Asia: Korea, Thailand, India
Pan America: Canada
Oceania: Australia
Africa: Egypt



The draw for the 2023 Sudirman Cup will be conducted on Saturday, 23 March 2023. Stay tuned for updates on who the European teams will be facing in the Group Stage.
