Lublin, Poland, is about to become the home of badminton as the ORLEN Polish International, presented by VICTOR, played from September 21 to September 24, 2023, at the Hala sportowo-widowiskowa Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Lublinie.
The ORLEN Polish International will be played for the first time as part of an International Series tournament, on the BEC Circuit. It provides a unique platform for emerging and young talent to test their strengths against some top European shuttlers.
Some of the home players to keep an eye on include Dominik Kwinta, Wiktoria Dabczysnka, Sobolewski/ Szolc, and top seeded Smilowski/ Swierczynska. Representing the RSL BEC Center of Excellence are Andrzej Niczyporuk, from Poland, Richard Kuhl, Sweden, Marian Liptak, Slovakia, and Kateřina Mikelová from the Czech Republic.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday 21/9 - 9am: Qualification + Main draw R32 WS/XD
Friday 22/9 - 9am: Main draw R32 MS/MD/WD + R16
Saturday 23/9 - 9am: Quarterfinals
Saturday 23/9 - 4pm: Semifinals
Sunday 24/9 - 9.15am: Finals
