On Sunday, September 3rd, the VICTOR Latvia International 2023 concluded with an exciting finals day in Riga, Latvia.
The Future series tournament took place from August 30th to September 3rd, featuring many talented European players giving their best on the court. Both France and Germany had great success, earning five medals each.
In mixed doubles, the German pair Datko/Schlevoigt clinched the title after a hard-fought 21-17, 16-21, 21-18 victory against the French duo Labarthe/Lalot Tresarte.
Lalot Tresarte also appeared in the mixed doubles final, this time winning gold with partner Elsa Jacob. In women's doubles, the top-seeded Estonian pair Marran/Rüütel defeated Germany's Lehmann/Tern.
Lastly, the women's and men's singles finals featured lengthy and intense matches. Denmark's Irina Amalie Andersen defeated Swiss player Dounia Pelupessy 21-15, 11-21, 21-12. Israel's Daniil Dubovenk started strong but unfortunately had to retire in the third game. His opponent, Aria Dinata from Croatia, secured the gold with a 15-21, 26-24, 13-9 victory.
