Anders Antonsen shines in Birmingham this week and today made it to the third YONEX All England semifinal of his career.

After a difficult period with setbacks and injuries, Anders Antonsen seems to be back on track. The Dane is having an amazing week at the YONEX All England in Birmingham beating Rasmus Gemke, Lakshya Sen and today number three seed Anthony Ginting.

"It was big. It was big for all of us. I could see tears in my coach's eyes. I and they have been through a lot. It's a lot working with me, I'm not easy to work with, so it's amazing and I am so happy to experience it", said Antonsen, after winning his quarterfinal 21-14, 9-21, 21-17 in 73 minutes.

It is the third time in his career, that the 25-year-old has reached the semifinals at the legendary YONEX All England and he certainly is ready for the next step: "I'm happy to be back and hopefully the third time will be the lucky time and I will reach the final."

Kim/Jeong too strong for Tabeling/Piek

Robin Tabeling and Selena Piek were the only other Europeans remaining in the quarterfinal after Carolin Marin withdrawing earlier today due to illness. The Dutch pair tried it's best against Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun from Korea but unfortunately lost in straight games 14-21, 15-21.

"Their constant level is pretty high and you have to play really good to put them under pressure. Even then they are calm enough to find the back line and play out of defence. They just don't give in. They don't give you anything and I think we gave them too much", shared Robin Tabeling.

The semifinals will start Saturday at 11:00am CET.
