BEC Signs Up With ´the sportsman´

Badminton Europe Confederation (BEC) has closed a long-term co-operation agreement with the sportsman media group on exclusive, worldwide media rights in connection with the European Championships.

The agreement covers worldwide media rights for the European Badminton Championships. In 2016, this will include the “European Men´s & Women´s Team Championships” in Russia (16.-21.02.2016), as well as the “European Individual Championships” in France (26.04.-01.05.2016). Both events are of significant importance in connection with the qualification towards the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where the badminton competition is played 11.-20.08.2016. 

In 2017, the agreement will include the media rights of the “European Mixed Team Championships” in Poland (15.-19.02.2017) as well as the “European Individual Championships” in Denmark (25.-30.04.2017). Marketing and promotional activities are to be carried out in close co-operation with the sportsman media group.

Our aim is, together with BEC, to generate a significant increase in exposure for the European Championships, both in Europe and in Asia. These two continents are the most important core markets for this sport.”
