The group stage came to an end at the 2022 European Junior Team Championships. Eight teams advanced to the elimination round while the remaining athletes can already start their preparations for the individual tournament beginning on Monday.

While England, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic already advanced in the morning session, five more spots were open for grabs in the afternoon and evening.

These were taken by Denmark, France, Sweden, Germany, and Spain.

While Denmark, France, and Germany all won 5-0 and left no doubt of their dominance in their respective groups, Sweden and Spain had a difficult road to walk to stay in the tournament.

Sweden put up a tough fight against Switzerland, winning the mixed doubles 28:26 in the decider to claim a much-celebrated 3-2 victory. Spain also faced a difficult matchup as the Netherlands also had won both of their previous matches. But the ¾-seeded Spanish team took the lead after the score was 1-1 and won the showdown 4-1.

Take a look at tomorrow's matchups:

France - Sweden
Spain - Czech Republic
Germany - Ukraine
Denmark - England
