Ahead of the European Games, the seeding for the Women’s Doubles category has been released, for the multi-sport event which gets underway next month.

There is a number of high-profile names in the list and it is set up to be a great event with a lot of competition between the best players in Europe.

1 -  MAIKEN FRUERGAARD/SARA THYGESEN – The Danish pair are regarded as one of the best Women’s Doubles pairs in Europe, hence why they are the top seeds for the European Games. The Women’s Doubles pair are 20th in the World Ranking and have the potential to be the best Doubles pair from Denmark since Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl.

2 – EKATERINA BOLOTOVA/ALINA DAVLETOVA – The Russian pair are one of the favourites for the event in Minsk next month. The number two seeds won Silver at the last European Games in Baku and will be looking to go one better this year.

3 – EMILIE LEFEL/ANNE TRAN – The French pair find themselves as the number three seeds for the tournament and won Silver at the European Championships in Huelva. So they will be looking to become this year’s ‘European Champions’ with the event in Minsk replacing the event for this year.

4 – SELENA PIEK/CHERYL SEINEN – The Dutch pair are very well known by the majority of Europe of being consistently in and around the top 30 in the World Rankings. The two are seeded as number four for the event in Minsk and are again part of a tough Women’s Doubles entry list.
