The BEC Congress is almost one week away, and one place to begin is the Members’ Forum, which is set for a small twist.

Badminton Europe is introducing Commission Clinics as a new part of the Members’ Forum session and one that is hopefully going to be another successful innovation.

A new structure

The Commission Chair of Member Structures, Emma Mason is confident that the new way of working will be successful.

- To drive engagement, interactivity and add value to our membership, we are also going to try out a new section of the forum called the Commission Clinics, Emma Mason said.

- The objective behind the clinics is to reduce the gap between our members and our board members and to deliver a greater understanding as to what work we are carrying out in the Commissions.

- The clinics will also provide our Board with a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the membership on how BEC can best serve their needs and will give our members the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Board.

You can see more information on our website, here.

How will it work?

The Commission Clinics will provide a more personal and interactive approach allowing members to ask questions to the appropriate Board member of their Commissions and be able to engage easily.

The Commission Clinics will employ a  ́speed dating ́ concept at the Commission Clinics which will be beneficial as it will enable our MAs to spend time at all Commissions by asking questions or listening to interesting discussions around the Commission areas.

The Commission Clinics will take place over 75 minutes and members will have the opportunity to move around five tables.

Each round will last 15 minutes and each table will feature at least two Commission
Chairs who will begin by giving a short introduction to their work areas.

BEC and the Board are looking forward to welcoming our members to Kiev and to participating actively in the Commission Clinics with you!
