A total of 29 nations today confirmed their entries for the 2013 European Team Championship to be played in Ramenskoye at Sport Hall Borisoglebsky from February 12-17. The seeding will be announced on 4 December and the draw is conducted and published on 11 December 2012.
The tournament will take place in the town of Ramenskoye, 25 kilometers outside Moscow. During the Soviet era; Moscow already hosted the 1990 European Championships.
Russia have reached the semifinals at the last two European Mixed Team Championships, in Liverpool in 2009 (pictured) and Amsterdam in 2011, winning bronze. Europe’s badminton giant Denmark is the title holder and unbeaten in this event since 1994.
It is the third time the European Mixed Team Championships are played as a stand-alone event, separate from the European Individual Championships, which will be staged in 2014.
