The second round of China Open brought another victory for the Danish men’s doubles of Conrad and Kolding.

Han Chengkai and Zhou Haodong from China was defeated by the Danes in two sets; 21-16 21-13. Following two tournaments in Odense and Paris without aadvancing to the quarter-finals, Kolding and Conrad could celebrate such a spot, in Fuzhou.

- Yeeeeees! through to quarterfinals in China Open. Tomorrow @m_kolding can’t hide himself from the camera, Conrad posted on his Instagram.

It will be an all Danish quarter-final at China Open 2017, as Mads Conrad-Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding will facing Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen.

Familiar opponents
For the third time during the year of 2017, a Superseries quarter-final will be with Conrad/Kolding on one side of the net facing Boe/Mogensen on the other.

All of them had the fact in common that Boe and Mogensen won. Nevertheless, Conrad and Kolding will go on court Friday with the belief that this time the tides will turn.

- We are playing Boe and Mogensen yet again. Hoping for a good result, Conrad wrote on Instagram.

The reigning world champion, Viktor Axelsen, flew past Qiao Bin and is ready for the quarter-final on Friday against Chou Tien Chen from Chinese Taipei. Spain’s Carolina Marin is also ready for the quarter-finals, as she beat Kim Hyo Min from Korea in a three-set match.
