Today, the 13th of March, is the qualification day for the Romanian  International 2014 in Timisoara. A total number of 37 countries have announced their participation, with 158 players from 5 continents taking part in third biggest Romanian city.

As a new detail for this year’s International Series tournament (5.000 US Dollars), the venue changed. The event will be now played in the “Constantin Jude” Hall - main City Sport Hall (pictured).  Many players have returned to Timisoara this March, such as the second seed Iztok Utrosa of Slovenia (pictured) in the men’s singles, Perrine Le Buhanic from France and Nanna Vainio of Finland in the women’s singles category or pairs like Lorraine Bauman/Teshana Vignes Waran of France in the women’s doubles event and Jakub Bitman/Alzbeta Basova of Czech Republic for the mixed doubles.

Misbun Ramdan Mohmed Misbun, at the moment the 3rd best ranked in Malaysia, earned the top seeding in the men's singles while Scottish men’s doubles pair of Martin Campbell/Patrick MacHugh, runner-ups at last week's Portuguese International, will take part in the event for the first time.

From Friday on some matches may be followed LIVE on TVR 3, a Romanian TV channel: Friday (16.00 – 18.00), Saturday (17.00 – 19.00) and Sunday (12.00 – 14.00).
