Tomorrow is finals day at the Orleans Masters 2023.

Magnus Johannesen and Carolina Marin are the two Europeans performing for the last time in the tournament.

Johannesen played today against China’s Lei Lan Xi and won 10-21, 21-15, 21-19. “I think he played at a really high pace. He’s extremely fast and in the first game I think I moved a bit slow after 11, but then I managed to keep up the pace in the second and the third game. I think I played really well after the change in the third game, so I’m extremely happy”, said Magnus Johannesen in his post-match interview.

Tomorrow he will face Priyanshu Rajawat, from India: “I think it’s going to be exciting. I never faced Rajawat before so I’m looking forward to it”, adds Johannesen.

Carolina Marin, one of the crowd’s favourite, won her semifinal match against Line Kjærsfeldt 21-11 21-13. “I feel really happy about my performance this week. I am in good shape to reach the finals. I’m looking forward to playing tomorrow and giving my best again”, shared Marin: “To have the crowd behind me… They give me so much power to keep going in every point”.

Marin will play against Beiwen Zhang, from the USA, in the finals: “My expectation is just to enjoy playing, give my best and keep improving my game”.

Tomorrow finals start at 11:00 (CET). Watch it live here.
