Peter Tarcala is a happy and satisfied president after a weekend in Belgium.

The Badminton Europe Board of Directors have now left Belgium after a productive weekend. On Saturday the Board opened the first discussions about the future strategic plan for Badminton Europe and BEC president, Peter Tarcala, is pleased.

- We spent eight hours on the kick-off meeting for the strategic plan for 2021-2025. We did a lot of brainstorming, and we specified our thoughts on our mission, visions and values, and we identified the five most important pillars for our future organisation, Peter Tarcala stated.

- There aren't any dramatic changes or revolutions, but we want to improve in certain areas and we want to make sure that we are ready for future challenges. There were a lot of ideas on the whiteboard and we decided to consolidate them in the office and then discuss the future plan again in January with all the commissions, he added.

Nice celebration
On Saturday evening the Board of Directors attended the 70th anniversary celebration of the Belgian Badminton Federation.

- It was a pleasant evening at a nice place in Leuven. A lot of people attended, including the president of the Belgian Olympic Committee, Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant. The party couldn't take place, of course, without the president of the Belgian Badminton Federation, our friend and fellow Board member, Sven Serré and former players and presidents, Peter Tarcala mentioned.

- It was a nice and friendly evening, he said.

Concrete outcome
On Sunday morning, the Board meeting continued, and the president is satisfied with the output of the meeting.

- It was a classic Board of Directors meeting, where we, amongst other things, approved updated Circuit regulations for the next year. It was a productive meeting with concrete outcome, the BEC president stated.

The next time the Board of Directors will meet is in January in Copenhagen, Denmark.
