Fascinating semi-final day

After an exciting match, Carolina Marin reached the final in the Perodua Malaysia Masters 2019 in Kuala Lumpur.

The Spaniard faced the number seven seed Saina Nehwal from India, putting on a spectacle for the crowd.

At the beginning of the first game, she looked nervous and due to some small errors, the score was 2-5.

However, she promptly found her dominant style of play and managed to gain a lot of points.

Nehwal though, remained in the game until the score was 14 all. 

At the end, Marin had a great performance making six points in a row and got the first set with 21-16.

In the second game the Spanish Olympic Champion, was in good form. 

Playing at a very high tempo, she was leading 17-9 and eventually the match ended with 21-13.

Now, Carolina Marin will face a strong opponent that is also in good form. Ratchanok Intanon, seeded as number six, from Thailand who beated Goh Jin Wei in two straight games.

Definitely it will be a fascinating final tomorrow.

Chen Long stopped Axelsen 

Victor Axelsen played against the number three seed Chen Long from China, who was in a better shape today, and after a very intense game, lost 21-13, 21-18.

Excellent results for the Mixed Doubles

The Dutch pair Robin Tabeling and Selena Piek faced the number two seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai from Thailand and lost 19-21, 14-21. A great performance and very good results for the newcomer pair.
