The 2016 BEC Summer School will take place in Podcetrtek, Slovenia from 9 – 16 July 2016. It is organized in close cooperation with the Slovenian Badminton Federation. This is the third time Slovenia is hosting the Summer School.

There will be a Shuttle Time Teacher´s course and a BWF Level 1 Coach Education course for the coaches. Coaches who successfully pass the course will be certificated as Shuttle Time Teachers and BWF Level 1 Coaches.

In the 34th edition of the BEC Summer School last year, 84 participants from 25 countries took part, guided by seven staff coaches. The one week Summer School was filled with different training programs for the players, coaches´ delivery sessions, discussions and not forgetting a team and individual tournament among the participants.

"Podcetrtek offers fantastic facilities for players and coaches for an activity like this. Last year we had a very good experience, so we are happy to go to Podcetrtek again for next year's BEC Summer School", says Jeroen van Dijk, Manager at Badminton Europe.
