The second session of the day has concluded, and three more teams have secured their spots in tomorrow’s quarterfinals.

This session featured two of the top-seeded nations, France (1) and Denmark (2). Denmark proved too strong for Slovenia, becoming the first team of this session to advance to the quarterfinals with a dominant 5-0 victory, without dropping a single set.

Top-seeded France also booked their place in the quarterfinals with a 4-1 win over Hungary. Hungary started the tie impressively, taking the first match, but the men’s singles in the second match turned the momentum as Arthur Tatranov clinched a dramatic 23-21 win in the third set for France.

The final team to advance from the second session is Switzerland, following an impressive 4-1 victory over 5/8-seeded Czechia. It was a strong performance from the Swiss team, who were also buoyed by tremendous support from the stands.

The third and final session of the day begins at 5:30 PM, where the last two spots in the quarterfinals will be decided. Groups 3 and 4 will battle it out for those remaining places.

The draw for the quarterfinals will be streamed live on Badminton Europe’s Facebook page immediately after the final match of the day.
