The YONEX Czech Open 2024 concluded in spectacular fashion, with top players from across Europe competing for the title. Here’s a full rundown of the results from this year’s exciting International Series tournament: 

Mixed Doubles (XD) 
The finals day kicked off with the Mixed Doubles category, where Denmark’s Kristoffer Kolding and Mette Werge took on Germany’s top-seeded pair Malik Bourakkadi and Leona Michalski. After an intense three-game battle, it was the Danish duo who emerged victorious, winning 21-14, 19-21, 21-16.  

Women’s Singles (WS) 
The Women’s Singles final saw Hungary’s Monika Szoke challenge Denmark’s fourth seed Frederikke Lund. Lund put on a commanding performance, winning 21-19, 21-18 in straight games.  

Men’s Singles (MS) 
The Men’s Singles final was a high-stakes encounter between Germany’s second seed Matthias Kicklitz and Denmark’s Jakob Houe. In the encounter it was Kicklitz who prevailed in a closely contested three-game match, winning 15-21, 21-19, 21-19.Earning him the Men’s Singles title. 

Women’s Doubles (WD) 
In the Women’s Doubles final, Poland’s third-seeded pair Paulina Hankiewicz and Kornelia Marczak came out on top in a thrilling match against France’s top seeds Sharone Bauer and Emilie Vercelot. The Polish duo clinched victory with a hard-fought 21-19, 24-22 win.  

Men’s Doubles (MD) 
Rounding off the day was the Men’s Doubles final, where the Czechia’ Jiří Král and Ondřej Král delighted the home crowd by defeating Germany’s Jonathan Dresp and Aaron Sonnenschein. The Czech brothers won 21-18, 21-19, playing with great synergy and composure throughout the match. Their victory was met with enthusiastic cheers from the local fans, bringing a fantastic end to the tournament for the host nation.
