Popov stuns Ginting to advance to round of 16

Frenchman Toma Junior Popov faced off against Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, both top-tier players showcasing outstanding performances. In a thrilling match that delighted fans around the world, Popov emerged victorious in a gripping three-game clash, 21-19, 17-21, 21-15, overcoming the former world number two in his final group match to secure a spot in the round of 16.

Popov's victory marks a significant achievement. He also becomes the sole French badminton player to advance past the group stages, joining a group of other Europeans who have also made it through so far.
