The first version of the seeding report for the 2019 World Championships in Basel is official.

With less than three weeks to the World Championships in Basel, the first version of the seeding report has been announced by BWF.

Ten European players/pairs are seeded for the event, which takes place in Basel from the 19-25 August 2019.

Men’s singles:
Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) – Seeded 5
Anders Antonsen (Denmark) – Seeded 7

Women’s singles:
Carolina Marin (Spain) – Seeded 10
Mia Blichfeldt (Denmark) – Seeded 13
Line Kjaersfeldt (Denmark) – Seeded 16

Men’s doubles:
Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark) – Seeded 8

Women’s doubles:
Gabriela Stoeva/Stefani Stoeva (Bulgaria) – Seeded 10
Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen (Denmark) – Seeded 16

Mixed doubles:
Lauren Smith/Marcus Ellis (England) – Seeded 8
Gabrielle Adcock/Chris Adcock (England) – Seeded 11
