Badminton Europe mourns the passing of President of Badminton England Diana Troke.

It is with deep regret that Badminton Europe received news of the passing of Diana Troke, President of Badminton England. A devoted ambassador for the sport, Diana played a significant role in elevating the profile of badminton in England throughout her career. She was a long-serving Board Member and President since 2016.

Her contributions extended to the Hampshire County Badminton Association, where she served as president, and the development of the Westgate Badminton Centre in Winchester. Diana was a trustee of the National Badminton Museum, deeply committed to preserving and celebrating the rich history of badminton, both in England and internationally.

A true badminton enthusiast, Diana's legacy extended to her family. Her daughters, Catherine and Helen MBE, were accomplished players. Helen, in particular, was a four-time European champion and clinched Commonwealth Games gold medals in women’s singles in 1982 and 1986.

Diana's decades of tireless dedication made a mark on Badminton England and the whole badminton community, she will be greatly missed.

From Badminton Europe, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Catherine, Helen, and the entire family during this difficult time.
