The capital of the Czech Republic is all set to host the upcoming European Conference of Badminton Tutors. Organised by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in cooperation with Badminton Europe (BEC) and the Czech Badminton Federation, this three-day conference will bring together 24 experienced tutors who have been identified by the BWF and BEC as key figures in the global and continental workforce, from 5 until 7 June.

This three-day workshop is designed as a two-way process, in which BWF Coach Education Tutors can deepen their understanding of their role within the Coach Education programme, as well as sharing their successes and challenges as tutors thus far.

"It is an amazing opportunity for all the tutors in Europe to share their challenges, concerns, and new proposals to keep improving the delivery of the BWF Coaching Education courses. It is not so often that these exceptional gatherings are happening, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the outcome. I'd like to thank the host, the Czech Badminton Federation, for such a great work done with the organisation," said Mari Carmen Casermeiro, BEC Development and Hight Performance Officer.

Exploring their roles in course preparation, delivery, reporting, and follow-up, as well as broadening their range of tools for delivery and assessment, and standardising assessment criteria and policies, are some of the topics that the tutors will be digging into during the conference.

Dr. Sharon Springer, BWF Head of Educational Programmes stated: "This is the third Tutor Refresher and Upskilling workshop organised by BWF. The first two were in Pan Am and Asia, and now in Europe. I really appreciate the effort and time on behalf of the tutors, and I am looking forward to seeing them in action.

Immediately after the Conference of Badminton Tutors, 17 Shuttle Time national coordinators will also get to reunite in Prague, from 8 until 9 June, to further develop the Shuttle Time programme and to be provided with new tools and insights.

“I am very excited to welcome the Shuttle Time coordinators in Prague. I am looking forward to having fruitful conversations and sharing the best practices from each country," Tommi Saksa, BEC Development and HP Officer stated.
