Emma Karlsson revealed her ambitions for Minsk. The Swede will be competing in the Women’s Doubles, together with Johanna Magnusson.
Next week, Emma Karlsson and Johanna Magnusson will be participating in their first multi-sports event in their careers, when the badminton competition will be taking place at the European Games from 24-30 June.
- It means a lot to participate in the European Games. It is always an honour to represent Sweden, Emma Karlsson said.
- I hope for a fun and meaningful experience, the 21-year old revealed her expectations for the event.

As the badminton competition will be taking place in the Falcon Club, the Swedes will be looking to enjoy their first multi-sports experience.
- I hope for a good atmosphere because there are so many different sports. There might be the time to check out other sports as well, Karlsson said.
The rising stars from Sweden
After winning the European Junior Championships in 2017, the young Swedes are one of the rising badminton stars in Europe.
Being drawn in Group B in the Women’s Doubles, the pair is not only able to show their talent in Minsk. They are also able to collect valuable world ranking points for the 2020 Olympics.
- We hope to play some good matches for our development and then, we will see how far it takes us, Karlsson said.
