Denmark's 3rd seed Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen of Denmark are through to the finals of the World Championships with a 21-23, 21-18, 21-18 win over Koreans Ki Jung Kim and Sa Rang Kim. The Olympic silver medallists from London 2012 Boe and Mogensen fought back from a game down to win a nail-biter over Korea’s 5th seeded pair.
They will meet Indonesian pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in tomorrow's final. "It's gonna be a very difficult task for us tomorrow. They are playing really well in this tournament. We will have our chances, but it's a tough match. Ahsan and Setiawan are playing a typical Indonesian men's doubles. They set their focus on the serve and service return", said Mathias Boe on Badminton Denmark's website.
Kamilla Rytter-Juhl and Christinna Pedersen won bronze
Kamilla Rytter-Juhl and Christinna Pedersen took the bronze medal. The Danish duo, who could celebrate their first ever medal at World Championships in the women's doubles, lost to the top seeds from China in three games 14-21, 21-14, 15-21. It is the first European medal in this category since 1999 when Ann Jørgensen and Majken Vange (Denmark) won the bronze medal on home soil in Copenhagen.
