The legendary Erland Kops is the first member of the BEC Hall of Fame. The Dane, who won seven All-England titles in the men's singles, was the dominant badminton player in world in the 60's and he was also one of the few Europeans to win tournaments in Asia. He managed to win international Championships in many different countries and he has been a very well-known and respected player all over the world.

For his services to the sport and to badminton in particular he has received honors from all corners:

A Knighthood from the Danish Queen, Honorary Member of The Danish Sports Federation, Honorary member of Badminton Denmark, Herbert Scheele Trophy from BWF, Member of the Hall of Fame in BWF and in Danish Sport. And he had been elected the second best Sportsman in Denmark of the century.

Now Badminton Europe decided to launch a European Hall of Fame, and we can think of no finer badminton personality than you to be the first member.
