11.000 spectators attended to the Carolina Marín Sports Hall in the first two days of the European Badminton Championships. This figure is expected to be increased today as locals Carolina Marín and Sara Peñalver dispute their matches of the round of 16.

Juan Carlos Longo, president of the Andalusian Badminton Federation, reported that “the affluence to the matches is exceeding all the organization’s expectations, as there has been a massive response from schools that are filling the arena every morning”. Also, the debut of Carolina Marín yesterday in the Sport Hall named after her almost attracted enough people to reach the sitting capacity during her match.

7.000 invitations have been made for the first three days of competition, dividing 3.500 in the morning and 3.500 only available at the ticket office after 14:00.

The access system to the championships will change tomorrow. Invitations will be combined with ticket selling when we reach the most exciting rounds. There were 948 tickets for sale tomorrow, some of them still available, and more than 3.000 invitations that will be distributed by the organization. They can be obtained at the ticket office from 13:00 until sold out.

As Longo declared, “we expect a sold out for the semifinal son Saturday and also there aren’t any tickets available for finals on Sunday”. However, there will be more than 3.000 invitations available at the ticket office of the Carolina Marín Sports Hall from 11:00 on Saturday and 8:30 on Sunday until all of them are sold out.
