Done and dusted – England – Slovakia 5-0

The English male team did perfect in their second match at the European Men’s & Women’s Championships.

The ambitions for the male team from England are to medal at the first big European event of the year. And looking at the figures from their match against Slovakia, the Englishmen are ready to challenge the other outsiders.

In the men’s singles Rajiv Ouseph, Sam Parsons and David Jones didn’t struggle much. The three single players secured the victory with without losing a game.


Doubles are ready
The bronze medallists from Rio de Janiero, Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge can be an important card for the English team during the tournament, and it looks like they are ready.

Ellis and Langridge made it 4-0 winning the first men’s doubles 21-12 21 against Miroslav Haring and Juraj Vachalek.

England secured their victory number two winning all five matches – the last one as a walkover - and the bronze medallists from 2016 can secure the group win later today. The last group tie for England will be against the European Men’s Team Championships rookies from Greenland.
