Lise and Flore having bigger goals for 2018

Yonex Welsh International winners in women’s doubles Lise Jaques and Flore Vandenhoucke (Belgium) climbed from position no. 122 to no. 105 on women’s doubles world ranking list. 

Lise and Flore are satisfied with their overall results this year. Winners of Babolat Bulgarian International and Yonex Welsh International, quarter finalists in Yonex Latvia International, they have biggers goals for the coming year.

-Our goal for 2018 is to qualify for European Championships and maybe World Championships,  Lise tells Badminton Europe.

Lise and Flore were competing in FZ Forza Irish Open this week which is their last tournament in 2017.

Gilmour rising higher

After a successful home-ground victory Kirsty Gilmour (Scotland) moved one spot up to occupy position no. 16 on women’s singles world ranking list. 

Mia Blichfeldt (Denmark) climbed two spots, currently occupying position no. 31. 

After being on position no. 8 on men’s doubles world ranking list for two weeks, Russia’s Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov moved one spot up and are currently world no. 7.

Position changes for Scottish Open participants

This week has few changes on the men’s singles world ranking list. Emil Holst (Denmark) is ranked no. 39 moving one spot up compared to last week. 

He went into the quarterfinals at 2017 Scottish Open Grand Prix and lost to Lucas Corvee (France) who occupies position no. 62 this week. 

The winner of the same tournament Toby Penty (England) occupies position no. 52 on this week’s men’s singles ranking list.
