The countdown has begun and in less than one month, the 2017 BEC Para-Badminton Event will commence in Lisburn, a city in Northern Ireland, 13 kilometers southwest of Belfast city centre.
In addition to the initial team who will deliver this event, Badminton Europe welcomes the addition of two Irish coaches, Eugene McVeigh and Ciaran Chambers.
Eugene McVeigh
• 10 years of coaching para-badminton
• Member of the largest club in Ireland (Lisburn Rackets Club)
• Participates in the Ulster league in badminton

Ciaran Chambers
• Full time coach hired by Chambers Badminton Academy & Ulster Badminton
• 2 years of coaching para-badminton and 7 years of coaching badminton
• Current Irish National Badminton Player

Chambers who also recently competed at the BABOLAT Bulgarian International 2017.
Both McVeigh and Chambers will assist Kaity Hall, Head Coach of the centralized training camp. The 2017 BEC Para-Badminton Event consists of the 3rd BEC Para-Badminton Education Course (for coaches) and a European centralized training camp for players heading to Ulsan, South Korea for the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships (21-26 November 2017).
