As the 2016 edition of the European Men’s and Women’s Team Championship looms closer Badminton Europe today released the seeding for both events ahead of the draw for the tournament which will take place in Kazan, Russia between 16th & 21st February. The seeding points were calculated based on the world ranking list as of 26th November 2015.

In the men’s event Denmark are the overwhelming favourites to win the title for the sixth consecutive time. Denmark (326.083 pts) are rightfully top seeds for the competition with a points total almost double that of second seeds England (156.270 pts).

England as second seeds head up the best of the rest with teams 2 through to 6 being separated by just a handful of points relatively speaking. Poland take that sixth and final seeded spot ahead of Austria. 2014 Bronze medallists Finland are ranked in 11th spot with 71.129 points.
