It was a case of expect, play and deliver for both top seeds in the men’s and women’s competition of the 2015 Hatzor International in Israel. Suzana Pavelkova (CZE) romped to the women’s singles title while Sam Parson’s was made to work slightly harder for his title.

Pavelkova (pictured) played just a total of 83 tournament minutes as she strolled to the title. In today’s final the Czech number 2 overcame England’s Lydia Jane Powel in two games. Powel tested the top seed in the opening game losing 21-18 before Pavelkova stretched her legs in the second to take the title with a 21-14.

Men’s top seeds Sam Parson’s was made to work a lot harder for his title. A semi-final 3 set victory over Ivan Rusev of Bulgaria was all too tight for comfort with the Englishman only coming through 25-23 in the third game.

Parson’s then slumped to a first set loss in today’s final 22-20 against Lukas Zevl (CZE) before steadying the ship to cruise home with a flawless pair of 21-8 21-8 wins to lift the Future Series title in Israel and the Englishman’s first senior international crown.

There was some cross border cooperation needed to lift the mixed doubles title as Israeli Ariel Shainski linked up with Belarussian Krestina Silich to claim victory.

Israel to had its moment to shine with victories in both the men’s and women’s doubles. Pre-tournament favourites Bass & Chislov lifted the men’s doubles title without dropping a set and Alina Pugach proved she still has what it takes on the international circuit lifting the women’s title alongside Yuval Pugach.
