The finals day of the European Universities Championships 2015 in Warsaw saw Poland and Turkey dominating the individual tournament by taking the five gold medals. 

It was an all-Turkish affair in the women's singles final as Özge Bayrak met her country-woman and the number one seed Neslihan Yigit. Bayrak, the number 56 in the BWF world rankings, beat Yigit in three games 21-18, 19-21, 21-18 after 1:07h of play. It is the second time, Neslihan Yigit had to settle for silver at European Universities Championships as she lost the gold medal match in 2014 to Anastasia Cheriakova of Russia.

Three players won two titles each

In last year's edition, Poland's Mateusz Dubowski lost the final of the men's singles category to Alexander Roovers of Germany. Today he was able to take the next step as he defeated Sinan Zorlu of Turkey in three games to win the gold medal. Together with Pawel Pietryja he also clinched the men's doubles gold. They beat French pair of Thomas Vallez and Gregor Dunikowski 21-19, 27-25.

In the women's doubles event, Turkish duo of Neslihan Yigit and Özge Bayrak were the hot favourites. The young pair won the gold medal by beating Delphine Delrue/Lauranne Rosello of France in two straight games. During the whole competition, the Turkish pair did not drop a single game.

Pawel Pietryja and Aneta Wojtkowska beat Thomas Vallez/Delphine Delrue in straight games to take the mixed doubles title at the European Universities Championships.

SILVER: Thomas Vallez/Delphine Delrue (University of Bordeaux, France)
BRONZE: Corentin Lecerf/Morgane Tessier (University of Rouen, France)
