There was a great crowd at today's reception at the Badminton Europe head quarter in Brøndby (Copenhagen) alongside the World Championships. Badminton Europe invited for a small reception before the quarter-finals of the World Championships in the Ballerup Superarena located only a few kilometres away.
Among the guests were Badminton World Federation (BWF) President and former BEC President Poul-Erik Høyer, BWF Deputy President Gustavo Salazar, BEC President Gregory Verpoorten, the BEC
Council Members Peter Tarcala, Kevin Scott, Lawrence Chew and Ritchie Campbell, the
former BEC Presidents Torsten Berg and Tom Bacher including both the General Secretaries of the BWF, Thomas Lund and BEC, Brian Agerbak. Erland Kops, former Danish superstar and member of the
BEC Hall Of Fame, came by just before supporting one of his successors Viktor Axelsen in his
quarter-final match.
The guests list included Shuichi Yoneyama, Satoshi Yuza and Taiji Suzuki from our sponsor Yonex.
Furthermore many
Member Association's Presidents and General Secretaries joined the reception.
