Another Regional Project in the Balkan region has successfully been completed with the support of Badminton Europe. The project, which was for U15 junior players, was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 14-20 July. 26 players from 6 countries attended the training camp in the lovely Široki Brijeg, in the Bosnian & Herzegovinian mountains, near the city of Mostar.

Competitive matches and fun times concluded the 27th European Badminton Summer School being held in Warsaw, Poland. More than 50 players from 20 different European countries attended the training camp, Badminton Europe’s premier development activity. A singles competition was organised on the final afternoon with Sonia Olariu of Romania winning the girl’s tournament and Rhys Pritchard from Wales winning the boy’s event.

More than 50 players from all over Europe are training together at the Ursynow Arena in Warsaw. New friendships are being made through an intensive badminton training environment. The European Badminton Summer School is into its 27th year and is being held in Warsaw, Poland from 12-19 July 2008.

Poland’s capital city Warsaw is hosting this year’s European Badminton Summer School. The Summer School is Badminton Europe’s flagship development activity and involves an intensive training camp for junior players together with a Coach Education course. 20 European nations are attending this year’s activity which is being held from 12 – 19 July 2008.
