Gender Equity
Gender Equity in badminton constitutes a key subject for both BEC and BWF. Both BEC’s terms of reference and BWF’s statutes aim to achieve a balanced gender representation in all badminton activities. To achieve this general objective, Members are encouraged to work together with BEC to attract more participants from underrepresented genders in all funded activities. As a general target, there should be a minimum of 30% of participants of each gender.

If Members submit two candidates of the same gender, one of them might be rejected. However, for Members submitting one female’s application and one male’s application, no entry fee will be charged for the second candidate and the two candidates will be accommodated in single rooms.

All candidates ‘applications have to be submitted by their National Federations via the online link

Be aware that the participant’s CV in English will have to be attached to the online registration form.

The deadline to send in applications is Friday, 12 August 2022.

Badminton Europe will review the applications and sports CVs and will confirm to the Members their participation.
