UKS Hubal Bialystok and BC Chambly Oise will be fighting for the gold in the 2022 European Club Championships final.

It was a busy day today in Bialystok. The morning started off with tough clashes in the 2022 European Club Championships quarterfinals, and it was time for clubs to give it their all later in the afternoon to secure a spot in the finals. We now know who will be competing for the champion title tomorrow: UKS Hubal Bialystok and BC Chambly Oise.

The host city, represented in the final
A clash between two powerful Polish teams, the semifinal played by Suwalski KB Litpol – Malow and UKS Hubal Bialystok had some home fans cheering and supporting from the stands. It is always tough to be playing the opening match, but Lucas Corvee/ Alžběta Bášová delivered for their club in their match against Robert Cybulski/ Kamila Augustyn.

- This is great. This fight is a big thing here, it is between two cities from this location. We knew it was going to be hard, but it’s great to have friends here that support us, Bášová said.

Next up, it was anotherthree-game encounter between Danylo Bosniuk and Krzysztof Jakowczuk. Bosniuk got to make it 1-1 between the Polish clubs, but a clinical performance from Mariya Mistova and a great Lucas Corvee/ Pawel Smilowski gave UKS Hubal Bialystok a ticket to the final.

Another chance to get the title
BC Chambly Oise are no strangers to European Club Championships finals, and they will be playing in one once again after coming out victorious from today’s semifinal against Piume d'Argento BC. Eloi Adam/ Flavie Vallet made the French club start off in the best possible way with a win in straight games against David Salutt/ Hannah Pohl.

However, Martin Bundgaard got to stop the more experienced Eetu Heino in what was a great match for the Dane. The wins from Léonice Huet against Centre of Excellence player Anna Mikhalkova and Eloi Adam/ Robert Mateusiak against Luis Aniello La Rocca/ David Salutt meant that the French club would be playing the final once again.

- We have played many times in the final and you just never know. I know that we can win but it will not be easy. We might be the favourites but we can see many good players in the Polish clubs. Still, I believe that we can win, Mateusiak said.
