- I am a little sad about the end of the match, but overall, I am happy with my performance. The training at home is good, and I have to keep going and do, what I do, Christophersen said.

Tough challenge
Freja Ravn and Amalie Magelund, who were selected as women’s doubles number one, lost in straight games to the Tokyo 2020 silver medallists, Jia Yi Fan/Chen Qing Chen, before Line Kjaersfeldt was defeated by world number 18, Wang Zhi Yi.

- Overall I enjoyed to step on court today, and I think I played a good matches and I think I had chances. I made some stupid decisions and unforced errors in the end, but I enjoyed it on court today, Kjaersfeldt said.

Alexandra Bøje and Mette Poulsen lost the women’s doubles against Li Wen Mei/Huang Dong Ping, before Julie Dawall Jakobsen, who made her first entry in the tournament today, lost to Han Yue, who is ranked 12 spots above the Dane on the world ranking.
