With just days left until the 2021 European Mixed Team Championships, we take it in turns to look at each of the eight teams competing to be crowned the best in Europe.

Germany was a beaten finalist in 2019, so will be hoping for another chance to have a go in the final in Finland. They will need to conjure up the same spirit they found in 2013 when lifting the trophy.

Germany’s Group 1 opponents: Denmark, Scotland and Finland.

The team’s most in-form weapon is the mixed doubles duo of Mark Lamsfuss/ Isabel Herttrich, who defeated Europe’s top pairs on the way to the Denmark Open title and were runners up at the SaarLorLux Open late last year. They both hope to bring this level of performance also to their respective level doubles partnerships, where they make up the consistent German doubles quartet with Marvin Seidel and Linda Efler.

Yvonne Li was runner up at the SaarLorLux Open and played a pivotal role in Germany’s silver medal campaign at the European Women’s Team Championship in 2020.
