After the match Safin Emran of course was disappointed:

- I think we played quite a good match. They are one of the top pairs in Europe, and we challenged them in both games, but we made some easy mistakes and that is why we lost.

Putting up a great fight

The Finnish pair put up a great fight against the Danes, but in the end, it was the Danes who walked off court as winner with a 21-17 21-16 win.

- They are more technical than us. And we made to many mistakes, Kuoppala said.

Vestergaard will also play the mixed doubles later with Clara Løber and they will face first seeds Lev Barinov and Anastasiia Boiarun from Russia.
