The third day of the Indonesia Masters has already thrown up some wild wins for the European players.

Two European mixed doubles are through to the quarterfinals tomorrow. Chris and Gabrielle Adcock were facing Tontowi Ahmad and Apriyani Rahayu from Indonesia in their second-round match. Without problems, the Adcocks race through to the quarterfinals with a 21-9 21-12 win, where they will play second-seeded Wang Yi Lyu and Huang Dong Ping from China.

The other pair are French Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue. Before walking on court, they knew it would be a tough match as they were playing fourth-seeded Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai from Thailand. But as underdogs, the French pair managed to win the match 21-11 21-16.

After the match, Delphine Delrue wrote on her Instagram.

- What a day! We beat the silver medallists from the last world championship in two games this morning. This means we reach our first quarterfinal in a World Tour Super 500. Can’t wait to play tomorrow against Jordan and Oktavianti from Indonesia for a spot in the semifinals.

Finally!
The Danish men’s doubles, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen were facing Lee Yong Dae and Kim Gi Jung from Korea, the winners from Malaysia Masters last week.

Astrup and Rasmussen have played Lee Yong Dae five times and lost all of them, but that was when Lee played with Yoo Yeon Seong. Now that Lee is playing with Kim Gi Jung, the Danes are on the scoreboard.

In the first game, the match was rather close in the beginning, but towards the end of it, Astrup and Rasmussen won six points in a row, taking the first game. In the second game, the Koreans were never close, and the Danes could walk from the court as winners with 21-14 21-7.

Their countrymen, Mathias Boe and Mads Conrad-Petersen, could not follow up with a win in their match against Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik from Malaysia, and they lost 15-21 13-21.
