In about four weeks the European U15 Championships will begin in Liévin, France.

At this year’s EU15C, which will take place from 14 to 16 February 2020, 228 players from 38 countries will compete, which is a new participation record for this event. For most of the players, it will be their first time at a European Championship.

The EU15C will be played alongside the European Men's & Women's Team Championships. The two events will be held in the same venue, where the young players will get to play next to Europe’s biggest stars.

Since the first edition of European U15 Championships back in 2014, Denmark is the country which has won the most gold medals. In the first edition, Denmark won four gold medals only losing the women’s doubles, in 2016 they won gold in women’s singles and mixed doubles and lastly, two years ago in Kazan, they claimed the men’s doubles title.

Some of the past winners include players such as Alexandra Bøje from Denmark ( WS & XD in 2014 ) and Christo Popov from France ( MD in 2016 ). The former winners are among the players expected to take part in the EMWTC.

The seeding will be published 29 January 2020, and the draw will be published 30 January 2020.
