The biggest talents in Europe will be going to Poland in late 2020.

Poland has previously shown that they know how to host a big badminton event, as in 2020 the Polish Badminton Association will host not only one but two European Championships: The 2020 European Club Championships in June, and now it is also official that Poland will be hosting the 2020 European Junior Championships.

The phenomenal Arena Gliwice will be the venue of the team event and the individual championships in 2020.

- The European Junior Championships has always been an event where future European badminton stars make their mark on an international level which makes this competition unique and interesting, Chair of Major Events at Badminton Europe, Renna Unt, stated.

- The Polish Badminton Association has in recent years hosted several European championships and we are very much looking forward to continuing this good cooperation in Gliwice next year, she added.

“Will be unforgettable”
In August/September Poland hosted the European U17 Championships and the Polish Association is looking forward to welcoming back the future stars.

- The European Junior Championships is the most important international event for young players played under the aegis of BEC. Entrusting us with such a responsible and prestigious undertaking is a distinction not only for Polish badminton and our federation, but also an expression of respect and trust in our country, Michal Langer, General Secretary of the Polish Badminton Association said.

- The European Junior Championships 2020 will be an unforgettable tournament and we will see the most talented badminton players from all over Europe. The Polish Badminton Association will make every effort to make sure that the players and fans will remember the emotions of the sport for a long time, he added.

The 2020 European Junior Championships will take place from 30 October to 8 November 2020 in Gliwice, Poland (close to Katowice).
